HOW DOES BOTOX® WORK?

After a muscle has been injected, the nerves still send out a signal to the muscle to contract. The acetylcholine is still released, but is not able to bind to the muscle resulting in reduced muscle activity. This prevents the contraction of muscles that cause lines temporarily.
